Drug Offence – Arrest: R25-10643

In March 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s West District Community Support Unit received information that a suspect male was trafficking illicit drugs in the Varsity View neighbourhood.

On March 12, 2025, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), the West District Community Support Unit executed a warrant on a suite of an apartment complex, in the 100 block of Hendon Avenue. One male was taken into custody without incident.

A search of the male revealed approximately 46 grams of cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $4,600) on his person.

As a result of this search warrant, the following items were seized:

  • Approximately 207 grams of cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $20,700)
  • Drug packaging
  • Contaminated scales
  • Cell phone

During this investigation, approximately 253 grams of cocaine worth approximately $25,300 were seized.

A 31-year-old male, from Winnipeg is facing a charge of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.

He was subsequently released via an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
