Assault Peace Officer – Arrest C25-50798

On March 8, 2025 at approximately 9:31 p.m., Central District General Patrol officers attended to the 700 block of Pacific Avenue (on an unrelated matter) and located a 17-year-old youth female suspect who was wanted on several arrest warrants. The suspect was intoxicated and transported to hospital in stable condition for medical assessment.

At approximately 11:50 p.m., while at the hospital, the suspect barricaded herself in the bathroom. In the process of securing the suspect to prevent further escalation, the suspect bit an officer in the lower body. The officer sustained minor injuries and requires medical follow-up as a result of the assault.

A 17-year-old female from Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

  • Assault a Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order
  • Warrant – Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 2
  • Warrant – Fail to Comply Sentence x 3
  • Warrant – Assault x 2, Fail to Comply Sentence

She was detained in custody.
