Carjacking – Arrest: C25-51139

On March 9, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an attempted carjacking in the area of McPhillips/Inskster by a female armed with a firearm (later discovered to be a pellet gun).

Upon arrival, the female suspect and the victim in her 50s were still on scene. The victim indicated that she had provided a ride for the unknown suspect near Ashern as she was driving into the city and agreed to stop at McPhillips/Inkster.

When they arrived at their destination, the suspect passenger pulled out a handgun and attempted to steal the vehicle.

Police arrived and took the suspect into custody. The victim did not require medical attention.

Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation and Roberta Mary WOODHOUSE (30), of Winnipeg, was charged with the following offences and detained in custody:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
