On March 8, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a suite of an apartment complex in the sub 100 block of Kennedy Street for the report of wellbeing of a youth female.

Upon arrival, Central District General Patrol officers, located the female youth within a suite and confirmed that she was safe and uninjured. Officers also located two adult males hiding in the suite in close proximity to a black satchel which contained approximately 248 grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $24,600) and approximately $400 in Canadian currency. Both males were subsequently arrested without incident.

A 38-year-old male, from Winnipeg is facing charges of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

A 41-year-old male, from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order
  • Warrant – Fail to Comply Release Order
  • Warrant – Store Firearm Careless Manner

Both were detained in custody.
