Commercial Robbery – Arrest: C25-50537

On January 27, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a male suspect attended to a retail business in the 1100 block of Main Street where he selected retail merchandise. He approached staff brandishing a wrapped cylinder, believed to be pepper spray, and demanded money from a checkout till. The suspect fled the scene without any money or merchandise.

At approximately 9:40 p.m., the suspect attended to a restaurant in the 200 block of Henderson Highway selecting merchandise and leaving without paying.

On February 8, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., the suspect attended to a commercial business in the sub 100 block of Lakewood Boulevard, stated that he was in possession of a gun, and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of money.

On February 21, 2025, at approximately 7:10 p.m., the suspect attended to a commercial business in the 1100 block of Henderson Highway, demanded money from staff and fled with an undetermined amount of money and approximately $30 worth of merchandise.

At approximately 7:15 p.m., the suspect attended to a retail business in the 1000 block of Henderson and demanded money from staff. The suspect left without any money or merchandise. Once outside, the suspect approached an adult female victim getting into her parked car in the 1100 block of Henderson Highway and entered the passenger seat. Upon seeing the suspect, the female victim fled the vehicle. The suspect attempted to start the vehicle but was unsuccessful and eventually fled the area on foot.

On March 8, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the suspect attended to a retail business in the 1300 block of Main Street brandishing a knife and demanded money from staff. He subsequently fled with an undetermined amount of money.

North District General Patrol officers attended and located the suspect outside in the vicinity of the business and arrested him without incident.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and linked the suspect to the above-mentioned incidents.

A 43-year-old male, from Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

  • Robbery x 7
  • Fail to Comply with Conditions of Release Order x 2
  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Warrant – CDSA, Possession of Property Over $5,000

He was detained in custody.
