Stolen Vehicle – Arrests: C25-48302

On March 5, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Central District General Patrol Officers were patrolling in the area of King Street and Logan Avenue when the observed a GMC Sierra, which had damage to its front bumper and bearing a rear Alberta licence plate. Investigative checks by officers revealed that the Sierra had been reported stolen on January 14, 2025, from the 1700 block of Burrows Avenue.

A follow ensued and it was safely stopped at McDermot Avenue and King Street. No damage to any vehicles or property occurred and two occupants were arrested.

A 41-year-old female driver, from Gimli, Manitoba is facing a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.

She was released on an Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.

It was revealed that the passenger in the vehicle was a suspect in a theft incident. The Property Crime Unit assumed the investigation and the 25-year-old female passenger, from Winnipeg is facing a charge of Theft Under $5,000.

She was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
