Stolen Vehicle – Arrests: C25-47669

On March 5, 2025, at approximately 8:45 a.m., East District General Patrol Officers were in the first 100 block of Morrow Avenue investigating an unrelated matter when they observed a 2024 Volkswagen Taos travel toward them. Upon seeing police, the stolen vehicle came to a quick stop and 4 occupants fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, one suspect was arrested at St. Anne’s Road and Fernwood Avenue, while another was apprehended in the 100 block of Fernwood Avenue. The two other occupants are still outstanding. Subsequent investigation revealed that the Taos was confirmed stolen earlier on in the day from the first 100 block of Clayton Drive.

A 16-year-old male, from Winnipeg is facing charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order.

A 17-year-old male, from Winnipeg is facing a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.

Both were detained in custody.

The Major Crimes Unit has assumed and is continuing with the investigation.
