On February 23, 2025, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an apartment complex in the 300 block of Kennedy Street for the report by building security of a male in possession of a firearm.

With the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), Central District General Patrol officers located a male and a female within one of the suites of the apartment complex. Both were arrested without incident. A black airsoft pistol was seized by officers.

Anthony Earl Daniel ROSS, 43, of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2

He was detained in custody.

A 21-year-old female from Winnipeg if facing a charge of Warrant – Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

She was released on an Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.
