On February 21, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Provencher Boulevard and Rue St. Jean Baptiste involving a WPS cruiser car and a school bus transporting approximately 15 elementary-aged children.

One child was treated and cleared on scene by paramedics, and nobody was transported to hospital. The children were safely transferred to another bus.

One officer sustained minor injuries, but did not require further medical attention.
