As the result of an ongoing drug investigation by the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit, police have become aware of a new form of fentanyl that has appeared in Winnipeg.

The fentanyl has been pressed and packaged into unique shapes that look similar to cut-out cookies, colourful candles, soaps or confections.

The following are actual images seized by police:

The Winnipeg Police Service is continuing to investigate and cannot stress enough that if you come across similar items do not touch them and report to the police non-emergency line 204-986-6222. Call 911 if you are in medical crisis.

To reduce the risk of an opioid overdose, never use drugs alone and always carry naloxone.
