Homicide – Update/Arrests: C23-313628

Update:

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit has arrested two additional people in connection with the homicide of 20-year-old Brooklyn Elijah HIEBERT, which occurred on December 30, 2023.

On December 30, 2023, police responded to the 200 block of Flora Avenue for the report of a deceased male (Brooklyn HIEBERT) located outside.  

Investigators determined that HIEBERT was fatally assaulted in the 200 block of Selkirk Avenue, and subsequently moved to the 200 block of Flora Avenue where he was discovered.

As previously released, a 36-year-old male, Christopher Kyle WATTMAN, was arrested on July 7, 2024, and charged with First Degree Murder.

Over the course of the investigation, two additional suspects were identified.

On October 15, 2024, a second suspect, a female, Victoria Lee ANDREWS (26 years at the time of arrest) of Winnipeg, was charged with First Degree Murder. She was detained in custody.

On February 19, 2025, the third suspect, a 37-year-old female, Hazel FLETT, of Winnipeg, was also arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. She has been detained in custody.

All three accused and the deceased were believed to be acquaintances.

All family notifications have been updated.
