Weapons – Arrests: C25-33213

On February 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., while investigating an unrelated matter, Central District General Patrol officers observed a boarded-up suite of an apartment complex in the 400 block of Edmonton Street that had been breached.

Officers cleared the suite and located an adult male and an adult female who were both arrested without incident. Upon searching the suite, officers located a backpack belonging to the male suspect which contained the following:

  • Unloaded Powerline Daisy 426 Air pistol with CO2 cartridge
  • Zip-gun (in two pieces)
  • .22 calibre rounds x 2

A Romeo Chris Morris MILES, 28, of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Weapon x 2
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition x 2
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
  • Unlawfully in Dwelling House

He was detained in custody.

A 29-year-old female, from Winnipeg is facing a charge of Unlawfully in a Dwelling House.

She was released on an Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.
