Stabbing – Investigation: C25-28331

On February 7, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 300 block of Portage Avenue for the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, Central District General Patrol officers located a 58-year-old male victim with a serious injury to his upper body and provided emergency medical care.

The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

The initial investigation revealed the victim and the suspect male had been engaged in a verbal argument prior to the victim being stabbed.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and is working to determine an updated description of the suspects.
