Commercial Break and Enter – Arrest: C24-99360

On December 23, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a commercial business in the 800 block of Elizabeth Road for the report of a Commercial Break and Enter.

East District General Patrol officers attended, and conducted the initial investigation

The Major Crimes Unit assumed and continued with the investigation and a suspect was identified.

It was learned through investigation that a male youth suspect had attended the commercial business and broke a window with a baseball bat to gain entry, causing approximately $4,000 worth of damage. He then proceeded to steal approximately $500 worth of merchandise prior to fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

On February 4, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the suspect was arrested without incident at Police Headquarters.

A 13-year-old male, from Winnipeg has been charged with Break Enter and Theft – Place.

He was detained in custody.
