On February 2, 2025 at approximately 10:14 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received a call from a business in the 400 block of Talbot Avenue for the report of a robbery in progress by a suspect armed with a firearm.

East District General Patrol officers, assisted by K-9 and the Tactical Support Team (TST), responded to the scene and determined that after being asked to leave the business, a 31-year-old male suspect produced a concealed firearm and pointed it at a 26-year-old male employee, who fled to the back of the store for cover. The suspect jumped the counter and stole a cash drawer from the till and fled on foot. No shots were fired, and the victim was not injured.
