Commercial Robbery – Arrest: C25-20237

On January 28, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a commercial business in the 400 block of River Avenue for the report of a Commercial Robbery.

Upon arrival, West District General Patrol officers located a male suspect who was standing outside of the store and took him into custody without incident.

Officers learned through investigation that the suspect attended to the commercial business and placed store merchandise in his backpack. When confronted by store security, he brandished a small edged weapon and proceeded to leave without paying for his merchandise. No injuries were reported and all merchandise was recovered.

A search of the suspect revealed several break-in tools.

Nicky Charles CLYNE, 26, of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery and Possession of Break In Instrument(s).

He was detained in custody.
