Commercial Robbery – Arrest: C25-20127

On January 28, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a retail business in the 3600 block of Portage Avenue for the report of a Commercial Robbery.

Upon arrival, West District General Patrol officers located a suspect male who was still present and took him into custody without incident.

Officers learned through investigation that the suspect attended to the retail business and indicated to staff that he was going to steal. He then attended to the cashier counter and produced a small edged weapon and raised it in the air in a threatening manner. No injuries were reported.

Joseph Curtis HENSON, 33, of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order.

He was detained in custody.
