Stolen Vehicle – Arrest: C25-17554

On January 24, 2025, at approximately 10:19 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service Duty Office received a notification from the Camrose Police Service regarding a stolen 2025 Dodge Ram with Alberta licence plates. The vehicle was equipped with GPS tracking, which indicated its current location in the 1300 block of Pembina Highway in Winnipeg. 

On January 25, at approximately 12:19 p.m., West District General Patrol officers attended and located the stolen vehicle parked at the identified location. Officers observed that the vehicle had been started using a command start. They maintained a strategic position and waited. Shortly after, a 30-year-old male suspect and a 25-year-old male suspect approached the vehicle. As they attempted to enter the vehicle, both suspects were taken into custody without incident.

During the arrest, officers also found a stolen credit card in the possession of one suspect, while the second suspect was found to have outstanding arrest warrants for offenses committed between March 29, 2020, and March 31, 2021.

James YEBOAH (25 yrs) of Calgary, Alberta has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

Jeffery OFORI (30 yrs) of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Warrant for Identity Fraud - Intent to Gain Advantage x 6
  • Warrant for Use a Forged Document x 6
  • Warrant for Fraud Over $5000 x 5
  • Warrant for Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x1

Both were detained in custody.
