Commercial Robbery – Arrest: C25-17558

On January 24, 2025, at approximately 10:25 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a business in the 1500 block of Logan Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery with a firearm.

Central District General Patrol officers, assisted by K-9 and the Tactical Support Team (TST), responded to the scene and determined that a 29-year-old female suspect had stolen merchandise from the business. When confronted by the 23-year-old male victim and asked to return the stolen items, she pulled out a handgun and threatened him. No shots were fired, and the victim was not injured.

K-9 officers tracked the suspect to the 300 block of Blake Street. They were able to review surveillance video and confirm the identity of the suspect, who is known to police. At approximately 11:19 p.m., she was located and taken into custody without incident. A firearm was also seized during her arrest.

Sabrina BIGNELL (29 yrs) of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order

She was detained in custody.
