Robbery (Carjacking) – Investigation: C25-15906

On January 22, 2025 at approximately 4:50 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 400 block of William Avenue for the report of a robbery carjacking.

Central District General Patrol officers responded to the location, where they learned that a 33-year-old male victim had been waiting in a parking lot when he was approached by a lone male suspect. The suspect demanded property from him, opened the vehicle door, forcibly pulled him out, and struck him in the upper body with a weapon. The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s white 2009 Toyota Sienna, bearing Manitoba license plate LES991. The victim sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assault. 

If you believe you observe this stolen vehicle, do not approach and call 911 immediately. 

The Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation, and is working to determine an updated description of the suspect. No arrests have been made.
