Guns & Gangs Search Warrants – Arrests: C25-9629

In December 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit launched a drug investigation into a criminal network believed to be trafficking cocaine and hydromorphone. This criminal operation, run by a street gang in the city, targeted the Downtown and West End neighborhoods.

As the result of this investigation, eight people were arrested, approximately $250,000 worth of drugs, two firearms, body armor and approximately $40,000 in proceeds of crime were seized.  

On January 15, 2025, the Guns & Gangs Unit with the assistance of TST and Community Support Units from the North District and West District executed two residential search warrants and for a vehicle.

As a result of the first search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of De La Seigneurie Boulevard, the following items were seized:

  • Approximately 1900 grams of Cocaine (ESV = $80,000)
  •  $38,670 Canadian Currency, $107 American Currency
  •  Approximately 8014 white 8 mg Hydromorphone pills (ESV = $160,000)
  •  300-500 MDMA pills (ESV = $5,000)
  • 9mm loaded handgun, numerous rounds of ammunition
  • Drug trafficking materials

As the result of the second search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Langside Street, the following items were seized:

  • 12 gauge pump-action shotgun
  • Ammunition
  • Approximately 24 white 8 mg Hydromorphone pills (ESV = $500)
  • Drug trafficking materials
  • 24 grams of Crack Cocaine (ESV = $1,900)
  • Prohibited Conducted Energy Weapon (taser-style)
  • Approximately $600 Canadian Currency

Matt DUCK a 22-year-old male of Winnipeg was charged with 14 offences related to drug trafficking and firearms. He was detained in custody:

Taylor BRUYERE, a 22-year-old male of Winnipeg was charged with 11 offences related to drug trafficking and firearms. He was detained in custody.  

Stephen MCKAY, a 22-year-old male of Winnipeg was charged with 8 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms.  He was detained in custody.

David PESCATELLI, a 64-year-old male of Winnipeg, was charged with 8 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms. He was detained in custody.

A 19-year-old female of Swan Lake, MB, is facing 11 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms. She was released on an Undertaking.

A 63-year-old female of Winnipeg is facing 11 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms. She was released on an Undertaking.

A 51-year-old female of Winnipeg is facing 7 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms. She was released on an Undertaking.

A 44-year-old female of Swan Lake, MB, is facing 7 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms. She was released on an Undertaking.
