On December 28, at approximately 11:10 p.m., patrolling General Patrol officers from the North District observed a black Honda Civic with stolen license plates being operated northbound Powers Street towards Mountain Avenue.

Officers initiated a pursuit in an attempt to stop the vehicle; however, the driver fled, driving in a manner dangerous to the public, to evade police. With assistance from Air1 who provided visual containment of the fleeing vehicle, ground units from multiple divisions were directed to the 100 block of Clearwater Road. The vehicle was contained, the driver extracted, and arrested. A search of his person resulted in the seizure of approximately 2.5 g of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value: $130), and approximately 3 g of Fentanyl (Estimated Street Value: $500). No injuries were reported during the approximately twenty-minute pursuit.

Through their investigation, officers learned that the vehicle, a 2015 Honda Civic Ex, had previously been reported stolen from the first block of McPhillips Street on December 24 and that the license plates, had been reported stolen from a parked vehicle in the first block of Greyfriars Road between December 26 and December 27.
