Residential Break and Enter – Arrests: C24-298099

On December 22, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Central District General Patrol Members responded to a report of a Residential Break and Enter in the 100 block of Middle Gate.

Officers arrived in the area and located two males matching the description of the two suspects that had fled the residence, a short distance away at the corner of East Gate and Blanchard Avenue. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Items seized from a search of the suspects included the following:

  • Sawed-off Savage Arms Rascal .22 calibre rifle
  • .22 calibre rounds of ammunition x 2
  • Black fixed-blade knife
  • Approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value = $250)
  • Approximately $2,500 in AUD currency
  • Approximately $225 in CDN currency
  • Folder containing numerous pages of collectible stamps
  • Screwdriver

A 44-year-old male from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition x 2
  • Break Enter and Theft – Dwelling House
  • Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of Break in Instrument(s)
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking x 2
  • Warrant – Robbery, Break Enter and Theft – Dwelling House

A 34-year-old male from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Break Enter and Theft – Dwelling House
  • Warrant – Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Both were detained in custody.
