Drugs – Arrests: C24-286764

On December 7, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., West District General Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Taylor Avenue on an adult male who was operating a motor vehicle occupied with two male passengers.

Officers spoke to the driver who falsely identified himself. The officers removed the driver from the vehicle to determine positive identification. Assisting officers observed BB pellets in plain view within the vehicle. Officers asked if there were any weapons within the vehicle and it was confirmed by the occupants that weapons were present. Both occupants were removed from the vehicle and all three were subsequently arrested without incident.

Items seized from a subsequent search of the vehicle included the following:

  • Sig Sauger M17 Airsoft pistol
  • Winchester Model 11 Airsoft pistol
  • CO cannisters and Copper CO pellets
  • Loaded magazine of .22 calibre ammunition x 12
  • Approximately 24 grams Hydromorphone (160 pills, Estimated Street Value = $3,200)
  • Approximately 335 grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $33,500)
  • Drug packaging
  • Gang-affiliated leather vest
  • Cell phone

Additional items seized and located on the person of the arrested suspects included the following:

  • Gang-affiliated support wear
  • Approximately $225 in Canadian currency
  • Cell phone x 2

Henry Joseph BOURASSA, 42 from Easterville, Manitoba is charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Weapon x 2
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Operation of a Conveyance While Prohibited by Order Under Criminal Code
  • Identity Fraud – Intent to Avoid Arrest, Prosecution or Obstruct Justice
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order
  • Ignition Interlock Restricted Driver – Drive Motor Vehicle Unequipped with Interlock Device (HTA)

He was detained in custody.

A 19-year-old male from Easterville, and a 26-year-old male from Grand Rapids are facing the following charges:

  • Possession of a Weapon x 2
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Both were released on Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code.
