On December 1, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service’s West District responded to the report of a commercial robbery at a fast food restaurant in the 3900 block of Grant Avenue.

An adult male armed with a pipe entered the kitchen and stole food, spit on an employee then fled.

He entered an unoccupied sanding truck in the parking lot. He put it in drive and drove into a marked cruiser car occupied by an officer. Nobody was injured.

40-year-old, Christopher FOSSENEUVE, of Winnipeg was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon

He was detained in custody.
