Robbery with a Firearm – Investigation: C24-275303

On November 24, 2024 at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service attended to the 500 block of Spence Street for the report of a taxi driver being robbed at gunpoint.

Members of the West District General Patrol attended and located the 64-year-old taxi driver, who was not injured as a result of the robbery. The initial investigation reveals he was dropping off a fare (adult female) in the above-mentioned area, when she produced a firearm and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash, personal belongings, and property from the taxi. The suspect fled on foot before police arrived.

The suspect is described as Indigenous in appearance, 30-32 yrs, heavier build with a round face, blonde hair, wearing a black jacket and black pants.
