Robbery – Investigation: C24-271429

On November 19, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., West District General Patrol officers responded to a report of a Robbery in the 1000 block of Empress Street.

Two female victims, in their 20s, reported that they were walking outside near a retail business when they were approached by an unknown male suspect who threatened them and demanded their personal property. The suspect assaulted the victims by striking both in the upper body with a large edged weapon. The suspect fled the area after stealing one of the victim’s purses.

Both victims sustained minor upper body injuries and were transported to hospital in stable condition.

The suspect and victims are not previously known to one another.

The Major Crimes Unit has assumed and is continuing the investigation. No arrests have been made.
