Assault Peace Officer / Utter Threats – Arrest: R24-55867

On July 27, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service West District General Patrol attended to the 600 block of Silverstone Avenue in regards to an unrelated investigation.

At one point during the investigation, one of the officers was verbally threatened and subsequently bit on the arm by an adult male. The male was taken into custody without further incident. The officer did not require medical attention as a result of the assault.

A 26-year-old male is facing the following charges:

  • Assault Peace Officer
  • Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm

He was released on an Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.
