In June 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit commenced an investigation regarding individuals believed to be involved in the trafficking of illicit drugs within the city.
During the investigation three suspects were identified and linked to three residences, two located in the St. Boniface neighbourhood and one in the Sage Creek neighbourhood.
On November 8, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Ritchot Street and arrested a 38-year-old female suspect located within. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 10 grams of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value: $500), and approximately 3.5 grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $350).
A second search warrant was executed at a residence in the 400 block of Ritchot Street and a 42-year-old male suspect was located and arrested. Officers located a “stun-gun” on his person and seized it as evidence. The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a money counter, scales, vacuum sealers, and packaging materials.
The 42-year-old male faces charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon and Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to a Prohibition Order. The 38-year-old female faces two charges of Possession of Scheduled Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Both were released via Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code.
A third search warrant was executed at a residence in the first block of Des Hivernants Street North including a linked vehicle. An adult male suspect was located within and arrested without incident. Cellular phones, a pair of Ray-ban smart glasses, and approximately $130 CDN funds were located on his person.
A search of the residence, vehicle, and an industrial garbage receptacle located on the property resulted in the seizure of the following property:
- Multiple Laptops
- Approximately 155 Grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $11,000)
- Approximately 36 Grams of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value: $1,900)
- Approximately $5,000 CDN Currency
Tyler James GOLLER, 41, of Winnipeg has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
He was detained in custody.
The three suspects are previously known to one another and believed to be operating together in the trafficking of illicit drugs.
