On November 5, 2024, just after 3 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service and the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service responded to a motor vehicle collision into Holy Cross  Elementary School in the 300 block of Dubuc Street.

A pickup truck crashed through the building and breached a classroom. There were no injuries to any students, staff or the driver as the class was empty at the time.

The adult male driver remained on scene and met with police. There is no suspicion of criminal intent and the vehicle is undergoing an inspection.
