Stabbing – Investigation: C24-253096

On October 29 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Central District General Patrol officers responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Edmonton Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old male victim in a common area of the complex, who was suffering from lacerations to his upper body. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The initial investigation revealed the victim, a security guard employed at the apartment complex, became involved in a verbal dispute with an adult female suspect. This dispute escalated with the suspect brandishing an sharp edged weapon and assaulting the victim in the upper body, before fleeing the area prior to police arrival.

The suspect and victim are not previously known to one another.

The Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation. No arrest has been made.
