On October 19, 2024, at approximately 12:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received several calls regarding an adult female armed with a knife and waving it around in a threatening manner in the area of Selkirk Avenue and Salter Street.   

North District General Patrol Officers attended to the area and located a 32-year-old female suspect armed with a hunting-style knife. Officers deployed a Conducted Energy Weapon (Taser) to safely take the suspect custody.

A 32-year-old female is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of a Weapon

She was released via an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
