Robbery – Investigation: C24-210422

On September 11, 2024, between 8:30-9:00 p.m., a female in her 60s was robbed of her purse at knife point while walking southbound in the first one hundred block of Smith Street towards Assiniboine Avenue. 

General Patrol members from the Central District met the victim who reported that she was walking with the assistance of a cane when two unknown males threatened her with a knife and stole the contents of her purse. They dumped the bag and then ran south on Smith Street.

She recovered her purse and contacted police and did not require medical assistance.

Suspect 1 is described as a white male in his late teens, approximately 5’7” tall, with a thin build wearing a black shirt and dark pants.

Suspect 2 is described as an Indigenous male in his late teens, approximately 5’7” tall, with a thin build, wearing a dark hoodie.

The Major Crimes Unit will continue this investigation.
