August 13, 2023, marks one year since the murder of 28-year-old Sydney Frederick CHUBB of Winnipeg.

On August 13, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of an injured male on the southeast sidewalk of the Osborne Street Bridge.

Sydney Chubb was located with severe trauma to his upper body, transported to hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries on August 21.

Sydney’s death is considered a homicide, and the Homicide Unit continues seeking public assistance. Anyone with any information on Sydney’s whereabouts or contacts before this incident is asked to call investigators at 204-986-6508 or anonymously at 204-786-TIPS(8477) or winnipegcrimestoppers.org
