On May 10, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a stabbing at a residence in the 200 block of Selkirk Avenue.
North District General Patrol officers and Foot Patrol attended and located a female suspect walking nearby. Officers safely placed her into custody. A folding knife used in the assault was found in her possession and seized as evidence.
The Major Crimes Unit investigated and determined that the accused female, known to the victim, had attended the residence and stabbed the victim in the upper body. The victim escaped the residence, where she was chased by the accused before they were both located by officers.
The victim was transported to the hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.
Sienna BLYTH, 19 years of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
She was detained in custody.
