Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – Arrest: C22-89503

Update:

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Traffic Division has now identified and charged the driver involved in a fatal motor vehicle collision at Bond Street and Kildare Avenue West during the early morning hours of May 1.

Tyler Scott GOODMAN, 28, of Winnipeg, has been charged with the following offences:

- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death
- Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death While Impaired to Any Degree by BAC or Drug or a Combination of Both
- Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Knowing that or Reckless as to Whether They Were Involved in an Accident Causing Death

The investigation continues by members of the Traffic Division. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-7085.

As previously released:

On May 1, 2022, at approximately 2:20 a.m., emergency services personnel responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bond Street and Kildare Avenue West.

The 24-year-old female driver of one of the vehicles had to be extracted by WFPS responders. She was conveyed to a hospital in critical condition; however, she succumbed to her injuries. The driver and occupants of the other vehicle fled the scene.

A number of witnesses to the incident have been interviewed; however, investigators are looking to speak with anyone who has information regarding the crash.
