Drug Trafficking – Arrest: C22-78496

In April of 2022, the Winnipeg Police Service investigated a known drug trafficker conducting illegal activity within the City of Winnipeg.

The Guns and Gangs Unit members continued the investigation and obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 600 block of Main Street.

On April 17, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed the search warrant and arrested a male at this location.

The following items were located and seized within the residence:

  • Approximately 1.5 Kilograms of Methamphetamine ($21,000 approximate street value)
  • Canadian Currency (packaged in bundles)
  • Packaging materials and drug paraphernalia
  • Sig Sauer Airsoft Handgun

Vincent URNIEZUS, 52, of Winnipeg, has been charged with the following charges:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Fail to Comply with Firearms Prohibition Order x 3

URNIEZUS remains in custody.
