Drug Trafficking – Arrest: C22-77689

In March of 2022, the Winnipeg Police Service investigated a known drug trafficker conducting illegal activity within the City of Winnipeg.

Members of the Guns and Gangs Unit continued the investigation and obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 600 block of Manhattan Avenue.

On April 17, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the East District Community Support and Tactical Support Units, executed the search warrant and arrested a male within the residence.

The following items were located and seized within the residence:

  • $10,000 in Canadian currency
  • Approximately 65 grams of crack cocaine ($6500 estimated street value)
  • Packaging materials and drug paraphernalia

A 25-year-old male of Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime

The male was released on a Promise to Appear.
