Sex Crimes investigation leads to charges. One man arrested: C26-68868

On April 25, 2026, the Sex Crimes Unit began an investigation after receiving information of a historical sexual assault that occurred in October of 2023.

The survivor reported that he made acquaintance in July 2023 with another adult man on a social website, and they met in person on more than one occasion.

During one of the occasions, they met at a residence in the southwest area of the city. While at the residence, the survivor was provided an illicit drug and was sexually assaulted.

The Sex Crimes Unit continued the investigation and identified a suspect.

On August 10, 2026, Russell George WYATT, (56), was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault and Administer Noxious Thing with Intent to Endanger Life or Cause Bodily Harm.

He was released on an Undertaking.
