On July 13, 2026, just after 6:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Dufferin Avenue and Salter Street for the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist.
North District General Patrol officers attended and observed WFPS already on scene providing emergency medical care to the cyclist. The 42-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The driver remained on scene and spoke with police.
The Traffic Collision Investigation Section (TCI) has assumed the investigation.
