On June 15, 2026, just before 7:00 p.m., West District General Patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Osborne Street for the report of an impaired driver.

Upon arrival, officers entered into an investigation and learned that a man, who was a driver employed by Winnipeg Transit, had just returned to the depot. He was questioned by staff and believed to be impaired by alcohol. The man was subsequently arrested.

A 28-year-old man is facing charges of Operation of a Conveyance While Impaired to Any Degree by BAC or Drug or a Combination of Both and Fail or Refuse to Comply with Demand.

He was released on an Appearance Notice.
