On June 13, 2026, just after 3:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a serious incident at a residence in the 700 block of Toronto Street.

Attending Central and North District General Patrol officers located an adult male suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital in critical condition, however succumbed to his injuries. An adult female suspect was arrested at the scene.

The Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation and has identified the deceased as 21-year-old Trencent FRANCOIS, a member of the Nelson House First Nation, who had been residing in Winnipeg.

Precious Rayne WALKER (20) is charged with Manslaughter and has been detained in custody.
