Traffic stop leads to seizure of firearm and drugs. Three people arrested: C26-135420

On June 7, 2026, just before 6:00 a.m., East District General Patrol officers were proactively patrolling in the Elmwood area when they observed a 2012 Infinity FX35 driving westbound on Nairn Avenue from Lagimodiere Boulevard, at a high rate of speed.

A traffic stop ensued and officers determined that none of the three occupants of the vehicle possessed a valid drivers license. While investigating, an open bottle of alcohol was observed within the vehicle. A further search of the vehicle revealed items that were then seized by police, including the following:

  • Loaded 9mm handgun with loaded magazine
  • Large quantity of ammunition
  • 1.5 ounces of cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $3,000)
  • Hydromorphone pills x 28
  • Approximately $600 in Canadian currency
  • Open bottle of alcohol

Arnold Isaac DANIELS, (29), has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Kiah Leigh DANYLUK, (30), and Peyton Ryan GUIMOND, (19), have been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 3
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

All three were detained in custody.
