Update:

The Homicide Unit continued to investigate the death of Jamie Raymond ASHAM and has deemed it as a homicide.

On June 4, 2026, just after 7:00 p.m., with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU) attended to a residence in the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue and arrested a female without incident.

Nicole Marie LAGIMODIERE, (40), has been charged with Second Degree Murder and was detained in custody.

On June 5, 2026, at 1:00 a.m., with the assistance of TST, MIVOAU attended to an apartment complex in the 1-99 block of Park East Drive and arrested a male without incident.

Lance Pavel BEARDY, (33), has been charged with Second Degree Murder and was detained in custody.

As previously released:

On May 30, 2026, just before 8:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a wellbeing call at a residence in the 700 block of Stella Avenue.

North District General Patrol officers arrived on scene and located a deceased man outside one of the residences.

The Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation and has identified the victim as 32-year-old Jamie Raymond ASHAM, a member of Peguis First Nation who had been residing in Winnipeg.
