Stabbing outside hotel on William, two men arrested: C26-125329

On May 28, 2026, around 2:00 a.m., officers working special duty at the hospital, responded to a radio broadcast that a man had been stabbed outside a hotel in the 700 block of William Avenue. He made his way to the nearby hospital for assistance.

The victim in his 20s was unstable and indicated he had been stabbed by two unknown suspects who fled on foot. He was later upgraded to stable condition.

Backup units, including the K9 Unit searched the area. Two men who matched the suspect descriptions, were taken into custody on the Slaw Rebchuk Bridge (Salter Street).

Barry Quinton BEARDY (26), has been charged with the following offences:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Jared Ranston HILL (28), has been charged with the following offences:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Fail to Comply Release Order x 6

They were both detained in custody.
