On May 26, 2026, just after 4:30 p.m., Central District General Patrol officers responded to a commercial business in the 400 block of Main Street as employees were being threatened by a man with a knife.

Upon arrival, officers located and arrested the man involved nearby. It was determined through investigation that the man had originally attended the business in an agitated state, produced a knife, and threatened staff. The man refused to allow three staff members to leave and demanded one of the staff members to hand over their cell phone. This led to a physical altercation, where two of the staff members sustained minor injuries in the form of cuts in the attempt to disarm the man.

Donald Justin GRANT, (32), has been charged with the following:

  • Robbery
  • Assault with a Weapon x 3
  • Forcible Confinement x 3
  • Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm x 3

He was detained in custody.
