Teen sexually assaulted. Resource centre worker arrested: C26-42218

In February of 2026, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Sex Crimes Unit received information about a sexual assault that occurred between a resource centre worker and a teen client.

In February 2026, a man, working at a resource centre in Winnipeg, befriended a teen client. The man forged a relationship with the teen, eventually luring them over to his residence through the use of social media, where the teen was sexually assaulted.

On May 20, 2026, investigators attended to a residence in the 300 block of Boyd Avenue where the man was arrested.

A 38-year-old man is facing the following charges:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Luring a Person Under 18 years of age by Means of Telecommunication

He was released on an Undertaking
