Officers seize ammunition stockpile, man and woman arrested: C26-27634

In January 2026, the Central District Community Support Unit began an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity within the Spence neighbourhood. As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was executed at an apartment suite in the 500 block of Maryland Street where officers located and seized approximately 500 rounds of ammunition and drug paraphernalia. A man and a woman were arrested within the suite.

Phoenix Beverly Paige MALCOLM (28) has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Careless Storage of Firearm, Ammunition, Prohibited Weapon or Device.

Jeremy Robert LEECH (39) has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
  • Careless Storage of Firearm, Ammunition, Prohibited Weapon or Device
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 2

Both were detained in custody.
