Holiday Checkstop Program – Week 2 Results

The 2025 Holiday Season Checkstop Program is officially underway and will continue throughout December and into New Year’s Eve.

Between December 8-14, 2025, with the assistance of Manitoba RCMP (on December 13th):

  • 547 vehicles were stopped
  • 22 drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, including:

  • 5 Immediate Roadside Prohibitions (ASD Fail)
  • 1 driver who failed a drug-screening test (ADSE Positive)
  • 16 drivers who registered a WARN

The Winnipeg Police Service wants everyone to have a safe and enjoyable holiday season. 

If you plan to drink or consume cannabis, DON’T DRIVE.
