On November 23, 2025, Major Crimes Unit investigators arrested a 28-year-old man regarding an assault at a gas station in the 700 block of Lagimodière Boulevard.
On November 2, at 2:30 a.m., the man and a woman attended the gas station at the above-mentioned address in a 2024 Chevrolet Trax, and parked in front of the store. The two exited the Trax while engaged in a dispute with one another. The woman re-entered the vehicle without the man, placed the vehicle in reverse, and collided with the passenger side of a refueling 2010 Honda Civic.
The owner of the Civic, a 61-year-old man, attended inside the store where he called police. The 28-year-old followed him into the store and physically assaulted him, seriously injuring him and rendering him unconscious. He was transported to hospital in stable condition and will require multiple surgeries for the injuries sustained from the assault.
The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation, identified the 28-year-old, and arrested him shortly before 9:00 p.m. on November 23.
He faces charges of Mischief Under $5,000 and Aggravated Assault.
He was released with an Undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
